The director of the fair Antonio Gil highlights the satisfaction expressed by the large number of exhibitors and the high number of commercial contacts made.

This year’s Lleida AirChallenge Fair, which was held this weekend at the industrial platform of the Lleida-Alguaire airport, has reached 9,000 visitors, a figure that represents an increase of nearly 40% compared to the 5,550 registered last year. last year
The director of the fair, Antonio Gil, has highly valued the activity that has been carried out during its two days, both in terms of the commercial field and the influx of the general public. Gil explained that this has been the edition of the fair in which the most commercial contacts have been made, which have reached 400, with a number of closed operations also higher than in previous editions. “There are many exhibitors who have expressed their satisfaction with being present at the fair, because their expectations have been exceeded,” Gil assured. This fact, according to the director of the fair, “responds to the organization’s efforts to guide it towards aeronautical professionalization and specialization and confirms its consolidation as a commercial platform and meeting point for the generation of networking, business synergies and exchange of knowledge between the sector.” This year, nine representatives of aircraft brands took part in the fair, double the number from the previous year.
This edition of the fair, 82 pilots have arrived at the airport with their own devices (fly-in), a number that also exceeds those of previous years. Gil highlighted the fact, because these pilots are potential clients of the materials and services offered by the exhibitors at the fair. Between the fly-in arrivals and the devices exhibited at the fair, the number of aircraft present at the fair has reached 120.
The fair program has also included ten information days, eight of which have revolved around the different areas of aeronautical training, in line with reinforcing this activity on which the fair is committed.
Regarding the influx of the general public, Antonio Gil highlighted that the weekend had a family and festive atmosphere “which we also prioritize, because our intention is to bring aeronautics closer to the citizens.” The increase recorded, which has remained sustainable in recent editions, “demonstrates that the interest of people who live around the airport in learning about the aeronautical world is growing and that they choose this option to live a recreational experience.” The fair has offered an acrobatic festival, in which the international professional pilot Jorge Macías has participated; exhibitions of the different types of sports aviation, with gyroplanes, paramotors and model airplanes; historic aircraft and drone demonstrations, and workshops for children.
10th edition of the fair
This year’s LleidaAirChallenge fair, the tenth, had 98 exhibitors, who occupied the entire surface of the venue. Aeronautical schools, dedicated to different areas, from piloting to aircraft maintenance and repair, cabin crew, air control or handling, among others, have increased their presence, reaching 21 exhibitors. The same number of stands have hosted companies that provide drones for different uses such as agriculture, construction or firefighting. There have also been 4 service companies that offer air taxis prepared for the needs of all clients and others focused on the use of helicopters. A total of 19 are dedicated to space exploration, consulting, aerial reconnaissance, products for pilots and maintenance, repair and manufacturing of aircraft, sales and rental of general aviation aircraft. Another 29 have corresponded to aero clubs, the ULM Pilots Federation and the Association of Aircraft Owners and Pilots, among others. The exhibitors have been located around the hangars and the campus space, with three large tents dedicated, respectively, to training, new aeronautical technologies and new air mobility. There has also been a space reserved for simulators.
